One Pot Chicken Pulao

Ingredients

  • Chickenbreast: 400g (boneless, cut into small pieces)
  • Basmatirice: 2 cups
  • Oil:2 tbsp
  • Onions:1 (sliced thin)
  • Tomatoes:1 (chopped)
  • Greenchilies: 2 (slit)
  • Gingergarlic paste: 1 tsp
  • Turmericpowder: ¼ tsp
  • Redchili powder: 1 tsp
  • Corianderpowder: 1 tsp
  • Garammasala: ½ tsp
  • Salt:to taste
  • Water:3.5 cups
  • Mintleaves: 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Corianderleaves: 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Cinnamonstick: 1
  • Cloves:2
  • Cardamom:2

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot, add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, fry 30 seconds.
  2. Add onions, fry till golden (3-4 minutes).
  3. Add green chilies, ginger garlic paste, fry 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes, cook till soft (3 minutes).
  5. Add chicken breast pieces, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, cook 5 minutes.
  6. Add rice, mint leaves, coriander leaves, mix gently.
  7. Pour water, bring to boil.
  8. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes till rice is done and chicken is tender.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala, fluff with fork, serve hot.
